This P226 is the double-action-only version of SIG Sauer's full-size duty pistol, made around 2000 and carrying serial U747821. It is chambered in 9mm with a 4.5-inch barrel, and the bore is excellent. The slide is stainless steel over a German-made aluminum frame, and tritium night sights are fitted. Wear is light on both slide and frame, and the overall condition is very good.

A DAO trigger gives the same long, consistent pull on every shot, which suits a Texas owner who wants a straightforward home-defense pistol with nothing extra to think about under stress. The full-size frame and 4.5-inch barrel make it easy to shoot well at the range, and the night sights still show up in a dark hallway. Spare magazines and 9mm ammunition can ship directly to a Texas home address, so keeping it fed takes no dealer visit.
