Durable Striker for FN 509

Description

The Apex Durable Striker for the FN 509 series is a direct drop-in replacement for your factory striker. It is designed for shooters who train hard—whether that means hundreds of dry-fire repetitions at home or thousands of rounds downrange at the ranch. This striker has been tested and certified for 125,000 dry strikes on an empty chamber. That certification is the result of over three years of research and development, with more than one million dry fires logged during the process.

This striker is machined from heat-treated tool steel and finished with Nickel Teflon for reduced friction and long-term wear resistance. The sear catch geometry is improved to deliver a crisp trigger break while maintaining proper sear-to-striker engagement. It includes a proprietary buffer that installs into the slide to dampen the shockwave created by dry-firing. A 6mm x 60mm socket head cap screw is included as a removal tool for cleaning and maintenance.

This is a direct drop-in part. You will need to reuse these components from your factory striker:

Important: Spring Compatibility
Mixing and matching different manufacturers’ springs or parts is not recommended. Use only factory FN springs or the Apex Slide Maintenance Kit with this striker. Using another company’s spring kit is likely to cause malfunctions, and Apex cannot offer technical support if their parts are combined with other brands.
