Apex has been refining M&P triggers since the first-gen guns hit the market, and this kit is the result of years of listening to shooters who wanted a cleaner break, a shorter reset, and a flat face that keeps your finger indexed consistently.

If you’ve ever pulled a stock M&P 2.0 trigger and thought, “This is fine,” then you’ve never shot a gun with this kit. The factory trigger is serviceable, but it’s got that spongy take-up and a mushy wall. This kit fixes that.

How It Works

The kit replaces the factory trigger shoe with a flat-faced aluminum trigger that has an over-travel stop screw. You also get a new sear, a trigger return spring, and a striker block spring. The key: you keep the factory sear spring and trigger return spring if you want a duty-weight pull. Swap in the included Apex springs for a lighter competition pull.

Here’s the range you can expect:

• Duty/Carry setup: 5.5 – 6.5 lbs (use factory springs)
• Competition setup: 4.0 – 5.0 lbs (use Apex springs)

That’s right – one kit, two personalities. And the over-travel stop is adjustable with a 1/16” hex key, so you can dial out that slop without going into reset territory.

Installation Notes

This kit is drop-in for the M&P 2.0, but “drop-in” doesn’t mean you can do it blindfolded. If you’ve detail-stripped an M&P before, you’ll be fine. If you haven’t, watch Apex’s video or bring it by the shop – we do installs. The trigger shoe pins can be stubborn, and the over-travel screw needs a proper adjustment to avoid light primer strikes.

One thing to know: This kit works with the M&P 2.0 models that have the newer flat-faced trigger from the factory. If you’ve got an early 1.0 or a Shield 1.0, this won’t fit. Check your serial number or bring the gun by.
