Apex 5.00” Slide for FN 509 – RMR Slide Cut

Description

The Apex 5.00″ Slide for the FN 509 is a purpose-built upgrade for shooters who want a longer sight radius and reduced muzzle rise without switching platforms. This is a stripped slide — you will transfer your existing FN 509 internal parts and add a 5-inch barrel. All internal spaces accept factory FN components, and Apex parts for the 509 fit this slide for optimal performance.

Two serration options are available: Classic or Lightning Bolt. Both provide front and rear cocking serrations for positive slide manipulation, even with sweaty or gloved hands. The slide comes with suppressor-height black-on-black sights installed by Apex, so you can co-witness with a red dot right out of the box. The Black PVD Finish resists holster wear and corrosion, keeping your slide functional through years of range use and carry.

The slide features ports that match the Apex Ported Barrel for the FN 509. These ports reduce muzzle rise by redirecting escaping gasses upward, letting you stay on target for faster follow-up shots. An Apex ported barrel is required for the ports to work correctly. If you prefer a non-ported setup, the slide also accepts a factory 5-inch 509 barrel or an Apex Direct Drop-In or Threaded barrel.

Optic mount: The slide is cut for the RMR footprint. You can direct-mount an RMR, RMR-HD, SRO, Holosun 508, or other optics using that pattern. No adapter plates are needed — the cut is machined to the correct geometry for a secure fit. Torque your optic screws to 20 in-lb maximum unless your optic manufacturer specifies otherwise.

What you need to complete the slide:

• All internal parts from your factory FN 509 slide (striker, extractor, springs, etc.)
• A 5-inch barrel (factory FN, or Apex Drop-In, Threaded, or Ported)
• Optic of your choice (RMR footprint)
